Position Title: Senior PHP WordPress & WooCommerce Developer

Timings: 5:00 pm to 1:00 am (On-Site)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced PHP WordPress/WooCommerce Developer with strong expertise in custom development, advanced plugin creation, and API integrations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, customizing, and maintaining WordPress and WooCommerce websites, developing robust plugins to extend site functionality, and ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress and WooCommerce websites.
• Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress plugins to meet client-specific requirements.
• Extend existing plugins or modify them to enhance functionality.
• Implement plugin updates, fixes, and improvements while maintaining backward compatibility.
• Integrate and manage APIs (REST, third-party services, payment gateways, etc.).
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize website performance and security.
• Collaborate with designers and backend teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Follow coding best practices and maintain clean, modular, and scalable code.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 4+ years of experience in WordPress and WooCommerce development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (CS), Software Engineering (SE), or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Proven expertise in creating, customizing, and extending WordPress plugins.
• Experience with API integrations and custom API development.
• Solid understanding of WooCommerce customization and extensions.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Familiarity with Git / GitHub for version control and collaboration.

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with DevOps tasks such as deployment, server management, or CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, etc.)
• Knowledge of website performance optimization, caching, and SEO best practices
